Back in the day, we were famously known as ‘Empat Nombor Ekor Berhad’ and even had a different logo.
In 1977, we became known as Magnum, meaning multi-faceted and all-purposeful in Chinese. To match our new identity, we refreshed our logo, gave it a sleeker look and inserted the iconic ‘M’ to symbolize our progressiveness and assert our strengths.
In 2018, we gave our corporate identity a refreshed look to emphasize our values of relevance and qualities that are synonymous with our company - fun, young and progressive.
Today. the Magnum Tree serves as a reflection of our growth as leaders in the nation’s gaming industry, while also symbolizing the diverse expansion of our business.
We’ve come a long way since 1969, when we opened our first ever outlet in Jalan Kinta, Penang with the first store signs reflected our original name in a big, bright and apparent way.
This was what our outlets used to look like before 1987.
After transitioning to Magnum, we gave our signs a more contemporary look. This was what our outlets looked like when we first showed off our new name to the world.
With even more desire to strike attention, we then used a 3D logo that housed an infinity triangle and angular perspectives.
In light of our 50th birthday in 2018, we gave our storefronts a refreshed look. We updated our store signs to reflect our new versatile nature as leaders of Malaysia’s gaming landscape.
Before having our own draws, our 4D results were based on the various race results of local Turf Clubs.
We revolutionized a new method by using our own manual drums in 1985.
A year later, we took Malaysia’s gaming industry to the next level by introducing electro mechanical draws!
Now, after 5 decades of progression, our draw machines are able to cover an extended portfolio of games.
Way back in the day, numbers had to be written by hand.
In 1988, our printed tickets saw major improvements that made it more durable, ergonomic and sized perfectly to fit in any pocket - giving an ease to gaming!
In 2007, we started printing on thermal paper rolls and by 2014, we pioneered our very own QR code which allowed players to use our mobile app to scan their tickets.
